Time to think

I just need time to think!

Be honest.  I bet you have said that to yourself before.

Have you ever made a purchase, especially around Christmas time(presents, etc.) and had buyers regret later about your decision?  Maybe like me, you had put that present aside and bought something else as you second-guess it was the best present for that friend anyway.  Did you feel pressured for time?

I recently heard that we spend almost five percent of our waking hours waiting!   Yes, waiting.  Think about it.  Waiting in line to get in to an event, pay for goods, for the computer to hurry up downloading, for the doctor, chiro, kids, partner, hairdresser, at the lights, dinner to cook!  I am talking about the waiting that is out of our control.

That got me thinking about what I want to do with that waiting time.

Maybe I can use it in a way that enhances my day. Five percent a year is a lot of time to waste when you are past 50 years of age! In hours, that’s aboutone hour and twenty ins a day.

We live in a fast world, and we can’t stop life moving by—but what we can do is slow down that chaos of thinking sometimes going in our head.

We have time to think.

I am just as busy as anyone else (I’d like to think of it as a full life).  Seriously, if we spend five percent off our life waiting, why not do something constructive with that time?

Our thoughts create our moods and, ultimately, our actions.  Therefore, at Christmas time (the end of the year), you may be thinking about things like, Where did the year go?  Where did my money go?  Where did the time go?  Well, just remember as you move into 2015, if you want a different year in any areas of your life, it is possible—but only if you change something.  Don’t you think it’s very liberating  to know you have five percent more time to spend on thinking abouthow you will spend 2015?

Thank you for reading, and may 2015 be a happy healthy year for you all.

Lots of love,

Libby
